What is Reiki?

I trained in Levels I & II of the Usui System of Reiki in 2003/04 and Level III (Master Level) in February 2013.

Reiki is a form of healing which was developed by a Japanese monk named Dr Mikao Usui.

We all have energy around us and within us. If our supply of this energy is low and depleted, we suffer from physical, emotional and mental exhaustion.

Reiki is a completely natural and simple method of healing which allows you to absorb more life force energy, through the hands of the Practitioner.

It helps to:

  • balance the energy in the body
  • relax and reduce stress
  • strengthen the immune system
  • clear toxins

    A Reiki session is usually very relaxing and brings about a sense of peace and calm, which I'm sure we could all benefit from in today's hectic world.

    During a treatment you will lie down on a therapy couch, fully clothed with only your shoes removed and I will place my hands lightly over the chakra points of the body. The session itself will last approximately 50 minutes, however I always allow an hour so that you have time for a glass of water and not feel rushed.
